Setting the Pace: Introducing Carol Koziatek, Associate Vice President, Human Resources And Applauding the Entire Human Resources Staff
Carol's goals:
To get my application accepted by Debbie Chin for the head football coaching job— If I can pull this off, I can do anything here at UNH, as I am really not sure if there are periods or innings in football!
But seriously, our abbreviated goals are to conduct a needs assessment, automate areas of Human Resources and ensure that we are meeting our legal and insurer-mandated training. We also are examining some pay practices, assessing our affirmative-action plans and reviewing and updating critical policies. I am very proud to say that we are making progress on all of these goals and in many instances are close to completing the majority of the subtasks.
Her approach:
There are so many amazing things going on in so many areas here the University. Get curious, get involved and see how you can help out or get involved. It will make this an even better place to work for us and a better place for our major customers: our students.
The Rewards:
I have figured out where most of the buildings are and how to get to the third floor of Maxcy Hall!
Seriously, I am proud of everyone in the Human Resources unit for all their tireless dedication in the past, and now as we make changes to policies, programs and systems. Specifically I am proud of the HR automation work, the Benefits Fair, and the Hiring and Harassment prevention training that is in various stages of rollout.
A Little About Her:
I really do three things with my time: I work, I spend time being a mom and wife, and I volunteer at my local food bank. Wow! I sound boring. But really, I have a lot of fun … really…
