The University of New Haven (UNH) College of Business will host a lecture entitled: “Aligning Supply Chain Firms: Firm Types and Supply Chain Orientation,” with Ahmet Ozkul, Ph.D., assistant professor of management at UNH. Ozkul will discuss the importance of coordinating a firm’s supply chain activities and aligning its supply chains with its goals. Ozkul will examine some frameworks that can help managers determine strategic orientation, firm composition and alignment for the supply chain.

Details:
Ozkul received his B.S. and M.S. in management engineering from IstanbulTechnicalUniversity and his Ph.D. from Clemson University. He is an assistant professor of management at UNH, where he teaches courses in operations management, strategic management and management information systems. Prior to his appointment at UNH, Ozkul held faculty positions at State University of New York at Oneonta and WichitaState University. His current research interests include inter-organizational and social networks, production planning coordination in the supply chain, interdisciplinary topics between marketing and supply chain management and educational technology. He is an active member of the Decision Sciences Institute.
