What:
The University of New Haven (UNH) Seton Art Gallery and the UNH Visual and Performing Arts Department will present “Roominations: Contemplating the Psyche’s Home,” a collaborative installation by the Women’s Caucus for Art – Connecticut (WCA-CT). Members of WCA-CT worked together to produce dreamscapes, a series of related installations which explore the concept of “home” for the body and spirit and address the unconscious desire for a home for the psyche. All events will be held in the gallery and are free and open to the public.

Opening reception: November 11, 2009, 5–7 p.m.
Exhibition: November 5–December 3, 2009 Gallery Hours: Tues.–Thurs. 1-5 p.m., Fri. 1-5 p.m., Sat.–Sun. 12-3 p.m.

WCA-CT is a non-profit organization established in 1990 with over 100 members. The Connecticut Chapter is a member of the National Women’s Caucus for Art, which was founded in 1972 to promote research, exhibitions, conferences and honor awards for women’s achievement in the arts. WCA-CT works to empower women in the arts by recognizing and documenting their contributions and promoting their publications. WCA-CT provides support for legislation that helps to change the world through art, education and activism.
