Public Lecture: UNH's Upadhyaya Discusses Blogometrics October 19

What:

The University of New Haven (UNH) College of Business will host a lecture entitled: “Blogometrics,” with Kamal Upadhyaya, Ph.D., an economics and finance professor at UNH. Upadhyaya will discuss the impact of various economics blogs and the correlation between research productivity and blog popularity. This event is free and open to the public.

When:

Details:          

Upadhyaya received his B.A. in economics from Tribhuvan University, his M.A. in economics from Thammasat University and his Ph.D. in economics from Auburn University. He is a professor and chairman of the Department of Economics and Finance at UNH, where he teaches courses in microeconomics, managerial economics and international business. Prior to his appointment at UNH, Upadhyaya held faculty positions at Penn State Berks, Salisbury State University and Auburn University. He has published in several journals including Applied Economics, Economic Letters and The International Trade Journal. His current research interests include international economics, development economics and applied econometrics.
