UNH undergraduates traveled to China this summer to visit 10 corporations - including Pfizer Shanghai and the Guangzhou Pepsi Bottling plant - and meet with marketing executives from each. The students received credit for two College of Business courses in the process. Led by Marketing Professor Ben Judd and practitioner in Residence Chien Wen Yu, the nine students attended morning lectures and were required to write a final paper that related a topic of their choosing to what they had learned from their experiences. During the two-week excursion, the students also visited the Zhejiang Police College, where they gave a donation to assist the victims of the recent Chinese earthquake. Student participants included Richard Albano, Business; Thomas Briggs, Marketing; Yijun Ge, Dietetics/Nutrition; Allison Pittman, Psychology; Erick Russell, Criminal Justice; Cristian Sanchez, Business; Ashish Upadhyaya, Marketing; Shun Yu, Finance; and Western ZZickefoose, Chemistry.
