What if it's raining?
The Spring Commencement will be held outside at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium, rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, umbrellas will be provided to all marching graduates as the procession leaves the Charger Gymnasium. Umbrellas also will be available for sale to guests at Ralph F. DellaCamera, Jr. Stadium.


Do my guests need tickets?
No. General seating tickets are not required for the Commencement ceremony. For a diagram of Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium, click here.


What time should I arrive, and where do I go?
Graduating students should arrive at 9 a.m. and go directly to the registration desk located in the lobby of the Charger Gymnasium on the University's North Campus. Click here for more information

Guests are asked to proceed directly to Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium.


Can we take photos throughout the ceremony?
The graduate seating and stage areas are off limits to audience members throughout the Commencement ceremony. Once the ceremony has concluded and the stage party has left the stage, graduates and their guests are invited to take photographs in front of the stage. Click here for more information.


Will there be food?
Refreshments, including water, soda, coffe and light snacks, will be available for sale at the concession stand located inside the gates of Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium.

A reception will be held at Frank Vieira Field, located adjacent to Robert B. Dodds Stadium, immediately following the Commencement ceremony. Graduates and their guests are invited and encouraged to attend.  Click here for more information.


How do I get a graduation announcement in the local newspaper?
The University of New Haven submits press releases for every student to two of each student's hometeown newspapers. The release includes the name, hometown and degree of each graduate. If you would like to prepare a more detailed release to send to your local newspaper, click here to learn more.


Where do I park?
Parking is limited on the North Campus. Please consider parking on the Main Campus and using the shuttle bus service to the Charger Gymnasium on the North Campus. Click here for more information.
