Daniel P. Kalmanson Named Associate Vice President
for Communications and Public Relations at the University
of New Haven

West Haven, Conn., June 8, 2009- Daniel P. Kalmanson, of Richmond, Va., has been selected as the associate vice president for communications and public relations at the University of New Haven (UNH). On June 29, 2009, Kalmanson will join UNH with more than 20 years of experience in leading communications offices for public and private universities.  

Most recently, Kalmanson was associate vice president for university communications at the University of Richmond, where he served for more than eight years. As associate vice president, he managed strategic communications and marketing, branding, media relations, crisis communications, online communications and alumni periodicals. Previously, he held positions in media relations for the University of Miami, Florida International University and Florida State University. Prior to his work in higher education, Kalmanson served as a television reporter and producer. He received his B.A. in communication from Loyola University of New Orleans and his M.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California.
