(10-29-09) INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of New Haven women's volleyball team jumped to the no. 2 spot in the latest NCAA Division II East Regional rankings, which were released on Thursday.
The Chargers were ranked third in the most recent poll two weeks ago. With four more wins, New Haven jumped the University of Bridgeport in the standings. Dowling maintained their top ranking this week, while the remaining seven teams all represent the Northeast-10 Conference.
New Haven travels to Bentley University for a 7:30 p.m. match on Friday night, followed by their 2009 regular season home finale on Saturday, October 31 at 7 p.m. against Stonehill. The Chargers will be hosting a costume competition and a pumpkin painting contest at the match. For more details, click here.
