Women's Soccer Standout Moylan Joins Irish National Team

(06-23-09) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - Selina Moylan, a four-year standout for the University of New Haven women's soccer team, is one of 20 women's soccer players chosen to join the Republic of Ireland Women's National Team this summer for a training camp in Indiana. Moylan wrapped up her career as a Charger this past fall and is one of two graduating collegiate soccer players to join the Irish National Team.

This marks Moylan's second stint with the Irish National Team after she played with Ireland against the United States National Team this past fall at Giants Stadium.

Moylan will take part in a 10-week training camp that includes seven matches against top competition from around the world and concludes with a friendly game against the University of Notre Dame on August 11.

Moylan, a three-time NSCAA/Adidas All-American, was a four-time all-conference performer. She led New Haven with 15 goals and six assists this past season and also scored a team-high 21 points (eight goals and five assists) in Northeast-10 Conference play. For her career, Moylan ranks first in program history with 29 assists and third with 49 goals. Her 127 career points are also third in New Haven women's soccer history.
