WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- The University of New Haven women's lacrosse team kept their No. 9 ranking for the second consecutive week in the latest IWLCA/Under Armour National Poll for Division II. The Chargers wrapped up their regular season last week by splitting two matches to finish their regular season at 14-3.
In the past week UNH finished with a 16-15 win against Bentley on Thrusday and followed with an 11-9 loss at Philadelphia this past Sunday. Junior Brigid Brady led the way with six goals against Bentley as UNH celebrated Senior Day.
On Sunday the Chargers dropped their season finale away to Philadelphia despite three players scoring multiple goals. The Rams scored five of the match's final seven goals to secure the victory. Even with the loss, the Chargers' fourteen wins this season are twice the previous program record of seven.
