CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. -- University of New Haven freshman third baseman Tom Rombilus was named East Coast Conference Baseball Baden Rookie of the Week on Monday. The award covered games for the period of March 17-23.
Rombilus hit .389 (7-for-18) last week for UNH, scoring a team-high six runs while driving in two. He had a double and a triple and walked four times for a .500 on-base percentage. He also stole a base.
The Chargers played at Mercy on Monday afternoon, travel to American International on Tuesday, host Concordia on Wendesday, and then play a three-game set with Molloy this weekend.
