CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. -- University of New Haven freshman Ashley Ferrandiz (photo) was named the East Coast Conference Lacrosse Rookie of the Week on Monday, earning her second weekly award of the season. It covers games from March 17-23.
Ferrandiz, led the Chargers with 8 points (7 g, 1a) along with six groundballs, three draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 2-0 week. She scored three goals versus both St. Michael's and Molloy.
The Chargers take on the nation's top-ranked team, C.W. Post, in a matchup of undefeated ECC teams on Tuesday, March 25 at 4:00 p.m. at UNH's Kayo Field.
