Three UNH-licensed dental hygiene baccalaureate students recently returned from the Lakota Indian Reservation in South Dakota where they treated more than 250 Lakota residents at a dental clinic. Kristen Edgar (shown with young patients), Rose Zajak and Jackie Tyler, all seniors, were chaperoned by faculty member Carolyn Patenaude. The service-learning trip was coordinated with the Hawk Wing organization of Connecticut. | |
