The Center for Women's Leadership (CWL) offers support for women in the workplace primarily through networking, mentoring, information sharing, and open discussions. The CWL is integral to the mission and vision of the University of New Haven and the School of Business; it provides life long learning for students, alumni and the community at large, and enhances our diversity initiatives. The CWL plans to hold annual conferences for practitioners and academics as well as regular executive-type seminars, panel discussions, and workshops. It will also publish a magazine and develop a resource database for women.
The CWL hopes to reach out to the thousands of women alumni from the School of Business and UNH, including more than 600 whom we have already identified as holding top positions in organizations in Connecticut and further afield.
Recent NewsThe Center held a special event on Tuesday, July 20, entitled "Living Up to Your Potential: Women and Careers." The program included a presentation by Carole Jacoby of Life Visions Coaching, specializing in helping women meet their career goals. Carole addressed the concerns of women in business.
