Facilities

The university's 80-acre campus contains 28 buildings that offer students modern laboratory and library facilities, 'smart classrooms', the latest in computer technology and equipment, a recreation center, and residential facilities.

 Located in West Haven, Connecticut, about ten minutes from downtown New Haven, the main campus includes administration, library, laboratory, computer, and classroom facilities as well as the admissions building, bookstore, student center, and residence halls. Recent additions to the main campus include a new residence hall and an outdoor plaza. South Campus includes Harugari Hall and South Campus Hall, the student records building. North Campus is the site of the university's athletic fields and gymnasium.

College of Arts and Sciences students benefit from our state-of-the-art music recording and television production studios, art and music studio spaces, biology and chemistry labs, and a dedicated Psychology building.

The College of Arts and Sciences hosts cultural happenings and student offerings on campus in Dodds Theater and the Seton Art Gallery, Dodds Theater presents plays, musicals, children's theater, musical recitals, and guest speakers year round. The Seton Gallery complements the educational mission of the University of New Haven through contemporary visual exhibits and educational programming.

Specialized College of Business facilities include the Hazell Nut Café, which is one of the experiential learning facilities overseen by the Hazell Center for Hospitality Sales and Event Management; the Samuel S. Bergami Learning Center for Finance and Technology overseen by the College's Risk Management and Insurance; and the Student Enrichment Center.

Tagliatela College of Engineering students have access to our first-rate laboratories beginning in their first year. Facilities available for student use include the Multidisciplinary Foundation Laboratory, the Instrumentation and Mechanics Laboratory, a Thermo/Fluids Laboratory, the Interfacing and Control Laboratory, the Center for Thermofluid and Multiphase Phenomena, the Steinhauser Study Center, and a fully-equipped Machine Shop. The many classroom renovations in the Tagliatela College of Engineering's Buckman Hall include the completed renovation of the Douglas D. Schumann Auditorium.
